Shpack Attack Rolls on at Mashpee

Brutal wind and cool temps handcuffed most of the event, with fish on the small side and not much sign of the spawn happening. A couple of guys figured them out and fought through the conditions, with Al and John each weighing a limit. John came out on top, his billionth win in a row, besting Al’s 6.55-pound bag with a 10.16-pound sack that also included the day’s lunker, a 3.02-pound largemouth.

Johns Pond is up next in just a few weeks. The spawn should be well under way by then and the weather should be warmer. Stay tuned.
