2026 Tournament Report

Long Pond Harwich - Mystery Lake! - Sep. 12, 2026

Dave Keeps Up Mystery Success With Win at Harwich

Dave kept up his string of Mystery Tournament successes with a win at Harwich. Since 2021 he has won 3 of the 4 events held, with a .45 lb near-miss second-place finish in 2022 (he did take lunker). No Mystery T was held in 2023 or 2024. Wins came at Quinsigamond in 2021, Johns in 2025, and now Harwich in 2026.

Daves limit of smallmouth weighed 12.49 lbs. John Shpack followed up in second place with his own limit of smallmouth that checked in at 11.28 lbs. John also had the days lunker, a 3.51 fish. Third place went to Ed Doyle who weighed the only mixed bag of the event, at 10.79.

It was great day to be on the water, especially at Harwich, which is known for its usually windy conditions. Winds for the event were light and variable, the weather seasonably warm, and morning boat traffic was unusually light. Fishing was much more enjoyable than usual for everyone. Each angler weighed a 5-fish limit and all topped the 10-pound mark.
